Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Reliable Montebello Insulation Services website and any work you book with us. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or schedule a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.

If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book. You can reach us through the contact page or at (213) 491-1019, Mon–Sun, 7 AM–10 PM.

What we do

Reliable Montebello Insulation Services is an insulation contractor in Montebello, CA, serving homes and businesses in Montebello and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, air sealing, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. You can read more about our crew on the about page and see every service from the home page.

The website gives general information about insulation work. It isn't advice for your particular house, because we only know what your attic, walls or crawl space need once we've seen them.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure to book. A quote is based on what we can see and reach during the visit, including how much old insulation is up there, its condition, the access and the size of the space.

Some things only show up once the job is open, such as insulation that was soaked or full of droppings, hidden damage to framing or gaps we couldn't reach. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop and explain it to you, and we won't do the added work until you approve it.

A quote is good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, re-entry and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you and tell you how long the crew expects to be at your house. Weather, material delays or conditions we find on the job can move that date, and when they do, we'll tell you as soon as we know.

Some materials, especially spray foam, need time before people and pets go back inside. We'll tell you the re-entry time before the job starts, and you agree to keep everyone out of the work area until then.

Please give us clear access to the work area on the day of the job. If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If materials were ordered or prepared for your job before you cancelled, the written agreement for your job says what you owe for them.

Payment

The written agreement for your job states the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Unless that agreement says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may hold further work until the account is brought up to date. We'll talk with you before taking any other step.

Warranties and what they don't cover

We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed. If something about the installation isn't right, call us and we'll come back to look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your agreement, and materials carry the warranty their maker gives.

Apart from those, we make no other promises, spoken or implied, as far as California law allows. We don't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set indoor temperature, because those depend on things we don't control, such as your HVAC system, windows, ductwork and how the house is used.

Warranties don't cover damage from leaks, pests, storms, later work by others, or changes made to the insulation after we finish.

Limits on our liability

We carry insurance and work carefully, but our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or higher utility costs.

We aren't responsible for problems that existed before we started, including old wiring, roof leaks, mold or pest damage, unless our work caused or worsened them. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, call us first. Most problems get sorted out with a conversation and a return visit, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.

If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any court case will be heard in Los Angeles County, California.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes apply to work booked after they're posted, and the terms in place when you signed your agreement still apply to that job.

If you have a question about these terms, reach us through the contact page.
